Programs
At Greater Sudbury Hydro Inc., we're committed to offering our customers a range of conservation programs and incentives to help you save electricity, lower your costs and reduce strain on both your wallet and the provincial electricity grid.

FIT/microFIT
Ontario's FIT Program is the first of its kind in North America. The Feed-in Tariffs refer to specific prices paid to renewable energy projects such as biomass, biogas, water power, landfill gas, solar PV and wind.
The FIT Program is for Renewable Generating Facilities of any size except for waterpower Projects which are subject to a maximum capacity of 50MW.
Projects that are 10kW or less in capacity can apply under the microFIT rules.

Thermostat Program
We are no longer accepting applications for our free thermostat program.
Watch for our new program in the coming weeks.
Past program participants can still set your thermostat here

Smart Meters
Greater Sudbury Hydro will commence billing Time-of-Use rates for electricity usage beginning January 1st 2012.
Smart Meters will encourage us all to think about how and when we use electricity. A smart meter tracks how much electricity you use and when you use it - key information to help you better manage your electricity use. In Ontario, all homes and businesses will be equipped with smart meters by December 31, 2010. Conservation will help us to make the best use of our existing electricity resources and slow the growth in our demand.
